2025 Season Opener at Nürburgring: Second Visit, New Champions, Same Electric Atmosphere!

The first round of the 2025 Drift Kings International Series kicked off in spectacular style at the Nürburgring Drift Cup, marking the series' second consecutive visit to the iconic German track. With over 80 drivers from 20 nations, the competition once again lit up the Mullenbach section of the "Green Hell," pushing machines and drivers to the limit. As the first stop of the season, this round set the tone for what’s shaping up to be an epic championship journey.

PRO Series: A New King Emerges

The PRO category opened the season with jaw-dropping battles and fresh faces on the podium. Itay Sadeh 🇮🇱 from Israel delivered a near-flawless performance all weekend, rising above the fierce European competition to claim the top step of the podium. His consistent speed, aggressive lines, and clinical chase runs proved decisive.

Finland showed its strength in depth with Juha Pöytöläakso 🇫🇮 and Jarkko Jylhä 🇫🇮 taking second and third respectively, both showcasing incredible car control and poise under pressure. The return to Nürburgring brought no shortage of drama, with fan favorites and previous podium contenders falling early. This new trio of podium finishers proves that the 2025 season will be anything but predictable.

PRO2 Series: Britain's Jack Makes His Mark

In the PRO2 category, the season opener saw Gregory Jack 🇬🇧 steal the show with his smooth transitions and razor-sharp proximity throughout the Top 32. His dominance in both qualifying and battle runs crowned him the early championship leader.

Jeremie Cladt 🇫🇷 put in a smart and stylish drive to take second, while Adam Vass 🇭🇺 impressed the judges with a high-risk, high-reward approach that paid off with a strong third-place finish. With last year’s favorites out of the spotlight this time, the new wave of talent is already shaking things up and promising a fiercely contested season.

Queen Series: New Faces, New Fight

Unlike last year, the Queen Series saw a complete shuffle at the top. Technical gremlins plagued 2024’s title rivals, paving the way for fresh challengers to rise. The 2025 Nürburgring round saw new names emerging, making it clear that this season’s title fight could go in any direction. With more rounds to come, the double reigning queen Sandra Janusauskaite will need to dig deep if she want to reclaim her crown.

With such a powerful start to the season, 2025 is already promising more upsets, fresh rivalries, and unforgettable moments. The Nürburgring once again lived up to its reputation as one of the most technical and punishing tracks in the series, and the drivers responded with unmatched intensity.

As the Drift Kings circus now prepares for Round 2, fans are left buzzing with anticipation. Will Sadeh and Jack continue their momentum? Will the Finnish PRO duo push even harder? And will the Queen Series champions strike back? The hunt for the Drift Kings titles has officially begun — and it's already wild.
